Backups that work when you need them.

World Backup Day, on March 31, is a reminder that data loss is common, whether from accidental deletion, device failure or a cyber incident, and that a backup only matters if it can be restored.

For March 2025, the Digital Trust Hub gave members resources for staff and for technology teams:

• Staff guides to backing up a computer and a phone
• A data restoration test process, for confirming that backups can actually be recovered
• A template for automated backups aligned to CIS Critical Security Control 11.2

Each guide is provided in editable and print-ready formats, so districts can add their own procedures and contacts.
