When online shopping carts start to fill, scammers get busy. Deals that look too good to be true, fake delivery notices and reused passwords all give attackers an opening, and the habits staff use at home carry over to their work accounts.
With National Computer Security Day on November 30, the Digital Trust Hub gave members a seasonal reminder for staff:
- A printable staff poster with a short, memorable set of holiday cyber safety practices, covering links, software updates, payments, passwords, multifactor authentication and public Wi-Fi
The poster is designed to be shared quickly, by email, on a staff bulletin board or in a building newsletter, in the weeks when people are most distracted.
