Safer Internet Day, on February 10, 2026, is a chance to reinforce the work schools do all year to help students build safe, healthy and responsible relationships with technology.
The Digital Trust Hub gave members a small set of ready-to-use resources for every audience:
- Customizable family communications: a parent email or newsletter entry and a text message, linking families to guides for apps and sites students commonly use
- An email for teachers pointing them to classroom lesson resources
- Ready-to-use graphics: a Safer Internet Day banner and a square graphic
The teacher resources point to ConnectSafely’s free Safer Internet Day lessons. They cover six topic areas, including generative AI, civility, wellness, scams and media literacy, with lesson plans for elementary, middle and high school. The lessons work any time of year, not only on February 10.
