The White House Office of the National Cyber Director met with local school leaders at Allegheny Intermediate Unit to discuss cybersecurity in K-12 schools.
Director Harry Coker Jr. and AIU Chief Technology Officer Richard Platts, CETL, spoke about the importance of collaborative efforts such as the Digital Trust Hub, which helps schools select technology that meets high privacy and safety standards and supports a safe learning environment.
The visit, only weeks after the Hub launched in August 2024, set the tone for what it has become: a place where districts, the state and federal partners work on school cybersecurity together.
